Peregrine - 150

The work focuses down even more. Still all in the cockpit, and a large slab of it just on seats!

  1. That's absolutely brilliant! Are you concerned about trying to paint it when it's all together - making that harder to do?

    1. It is a fantastic kit! Yes, I am becoming a bit concerned about painting, but I haven't glued all the cockpit shell together, so I think I've left myself room to get in and do it (I hope!) I'm a bit of a newb at painting stuff like this, so we shall see!

    1. I'm marveling at all your work to put it together!

I've encountered one issue so far: see picture three above. The head rest of the front seat had little 'tabs' across all four thicknesses of card rather than just the outer two. Didn't realise this until after I'd glued them all together. So the pilots headrest protrudes a bit. Everything else has been fine.

  3. Oh. Nearly forgot. Can we put a link to your Blog on the Facepage? I'm sure others will find your photos and commentary useful.

    1. Yes, please do. Happy to help publicise a great model, and a bit of extra traffic is always a pleasure!

    2. Thanks. Yes, I spotted that. along with one or two other tiny mistakes and omissions. We'll be sending out a small card sheet to those that already have the model to replace these bits. Not that they would be difficult to work around. Nothing Major.

    3. Yes, apart from that, it's all been smooth and pretty straightforward.

  4. Oh, so this is a thing now?! I first saw this kit months ago whilst it was still "in development". I didn't get my hopes up that it would ever be available. But oh! It is! I can feel my resolve slipping!

Looking good so far, looks like a lot of work and a lot of fun!

  5. Well, my resolve didn't just slip, it jumped with both feet! Yes, there's plenty of work involved, but I'm really enjoying it.
