Peregrine - ???

Thankfully my updates on the Peregrine have been healthily outstripped by my work on it. It made it's debut in a Pulp Alley day at my club a week ago. Before I post up about that I thought I should stick up a few shots of the Peregrine.
It's far from finished: I still have most of the interior to go. But it looks good enough from the outside!
The exterior was spray painted grey, then I sponged on the white paint. It could probably do with some weathering, but I'm a bit afraid I'll make a mess of it. I might try it on the underside first.

  1. Wow that looks great Preacher, I can fully understand why you don't want to try doing anything else with.

    1. Thanks! Yes, it feels like discretion is the better part of valour here!

  2. Wow
I don't think you need to do a thing to the exterior. It looks fantastic. I'm sure there have been secret moments of it flying around the room with pew pew noises being made!

    1. Ha ha! It's the sort of model that cries out for that treatment, doesn't it?

    1. Thanks Phil. It is a superb kit that comes together very nicely.

  4. Absolutely brilliant! It looks amazing! And I agree with everyone else, it doesn't look like much needs done honestly in regards to weathering. Maybe a couple of blast marks from a previous encounter with unsavory pirates, but again looks the business as it is :)

    1. Thanks Ivor. It could do with a little something more, but weathering stuff is definitely not my strong suit!

  5. Wow! Looking great. I am sure that you could spend a lot of time weathering your second one, but this one I think is excellent as is.

    1. ;)

The nice thing about this ships is that you COULD have a small fleet of them parked on a tarmac(particularly if the "simple" version is ever released.

    2. That's true! I couldn't justify a second deluxe one (the first one challenged the budget quite sufficiently), but perhaps a basic one!

    1. I reckon I've averaged something like 10 minutes a day since I got it in December. But I actually really enjoy the construction (the painting, less so).

  7. Hey Preacher, have you seen the new Ork planes they came out with? Some great pirates to try and chase your ship down.

    1. That is a fantastic idea! I'd seen it and thought, if only I did Orks! I didn't even think about pirates, but that would be perfect. I even have half a pirate crew painted up. I probably should push through and finish the Peregrine before I buy one though!
